The Bench, a purpose-driven legal services provider, is proud to announce that its board of directors has resolved to donate a minimum of 1% of its annual profit to charity. This decision reflects the firm's long-standing pledge to give back to the communities in which it operates and aligns with global movements such as Pledge 1%.

Paula Beretta, the Director of Operations at The Bench commented: "We (and our friend ChatGPT) believe that we are the first law firm (or alternative legal services provider) in the Middle East to publicly commit a fixed percentage of profits to charitable or CSR donations. We have already contributed to various charities in the past including K9 Friends, Movember and Gaza in Our Hearts but we hope that this ongoing corporate commitment contributes to lasting impact and inspires others in our field to do the same. This year we have decided to donate to the humanitarian aid campaign in Gaza again".

These charitable commitments are in addition to The Bench's other innovative CSR initiatives such as the tree planting initiative launched back in 2019 (with a commitment to plant 1000 trees) and other ongoing sustainability, pro-bono, mentoring projects and its waiver of recruitment fees for candidates impacted by war.
