5 March 2018, United Arab Emirates – The Bench FZE today announced it advised co-founders Matthew Benjamin and James Siggers on their UAE start-up Benjamin Siggers.
Benjamin Siggers specialises in responsible luxury, handmade, made to measure and bespoke menswear, with a focus on sustainability. They are the only company in the UAE to offer a range of organic shirts and ties, which saves water and avoids the use of pesticides and fertilizers.
The Bench team (Joby Beretta and Chad Fox) assisted Benjamin Siggers with their corporate establishment and various commercial agreements such as the agreement with their clothing manufacturers in Italy. Joby Beretta, Director of the Bench, commented “It has been a pleasure working with Matt and James to launch this new venture. The Bench has a variety of cost-effective solutions for entrepreneurs including fixed fee or retainer arrangements providing access to a suite of documentation required for start-ups. This enables start-ups to reduce both the cost and time of launching in the market.”
Matthew Benjamin, Co-Founder of Benjamin Siggers commented “Our focus and skills are in running and growing the business, so to have The Bench on hand to deal with some of the legalities was a weight off of our shoulders, and their assistance has allowed us to develop our business, safe in the knowledge that the legalities are taken care”.
The Bench lawyers regularly advise entrepreneurs and start-ups in the Middle East including Mixrack.com, Alfan Group, Konsälidön and Paul Kenny, the founder of Cobone.com, on his exit. The Bench was awarded the Innovation Award at the Legal Week Middle East Legal Awards 2017 for its innovative pricing structure. It was also shortlisted as finalist and received a special mention for being a disruptor in the Middle East legal market at The Oath Middle East Legal Awards 2017.
